Lock Out/Tag Out
eclipse workflow is configured to match your lock out, tag out and permit to work out procedures. Configuration enables sites with lock out box or tag out safety rules to facilitate their workflow in eclipse. This module enables automatic printing of tags, tracking of lock outs/isolations and integration into the other safety document lifecycles. Cross referencing, conflict checking and viewing isolated equipment give powerful tools to the user for visibility during the entire process.
Integration
eclipse enables customers to integrate their enterprise asset management solution with eclipse. Common points of integration include:
- Work Orders
- Equipment/Asset Lists
- HR/Competency Information
Integration with Work Orders enables users to automatically receive work requests from their maintenance system, making the transfer of work from maintenance departments to production or operations seamless. Synchronising equipment/asset lists ensures consistency and centralised management of Equipment data and HR/Competency modules can also be integrated to allow training records and contractor lists to be kept up to date. This 2-way integration model allows writing to and from eclipse for the various stages of the safety document process.
Risk and Other Assessment
Fully configurable Risk Assessment/Job Safety Analysis workflow allows for interaction between Permit to Work and other safety documents, work orders and risk assessments. The process from receiving Work Request, attaching Risk and Other Assessments and processing Permit through to completion of work is managed under eclipse. Risk Assessments can be tailored to contain a risk matrix, intelligent lists and risk scores alleviating some of the calculation and effort of a manual system.
All safety document types
eclipse has evolved to include all safety document types under one application. Documents such as Permit to Work, Clearances, Isolation Certificates, Confined Space, Hot Work, COSHH, Line Break, Limited Access, PPE and others can all be configured to exist within one integrated solution, eclipse. To the user the creation of a 'work pack' containing Risk Assessment/Job Safety Analysis, Permit to Work and any of the above documents is quick and transparent.
Standard document templates
The ability to re-use knowledge, produce standard templates and control their application within the organisation is built into eclipse. Standard documents can be made available for frequently visited activities and other documents such as Standard Isolations, Outage Documents, Standard Permits and Standard Risk Assessments/Job Safety Analysis can be produced and managed.
Auditing/reporting
For Operations and Maintenance, the reporting module allows for clear and powerful visibility for activities across the site. From historical safety document data to current activity representation, the reporting functions allow for on screen and printed reports to be generated for a variety of criteria.
Personnel/Skills Register
Central to the commencement of work is the ability to clearly define the current skills attributed to individuals or teams tasked with the activities. eclipse allows users to manage and view the current skill sets/level of authority of contractors before work commences, allowing for precise judgement upon beginning the work. Robust security also ensures that only users with the correct authorisations perform certain tasks within eclipse.
Shutdown/Outage Management
NiSoft's Shutdown/Turnaround management module allows users to create templates (for key safes, isolations, tagging lists, etc.) for use during routine and other Outage activities. Pre planning of the isolations, tags, locks and documents required gives users the ability to schedule and allocate documents prior to beginning of activity. Re-use of this knowledge and documentation drastically reduces the preparation time and effort for this most intensive of safety document activities.
